Tonight, I tried starting the bike using the starter, but when it started I couldn't stop the starter from spinning. I even turned the ignition off and it kept spinning. I had to take the ground off the battery to stop the starter. If I reattach the ground to the battery, the starter starts spinning the engine even if the ignition switch is off.
